BACKGROUND

Timothy A. Pupach, Esq. / tim@pupachlaw.com

Mr. Pupach is both an attorney and real estate broker with professional expertise in the areas of law, real estate and business matters. A native of the bay area, Mr. Pupach was born in Santa Clara, California and attended Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose. After high school, he graduated from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Upon graduation, Mr. Pupach went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Santa Clara Universtiry School of Law where he wrote for the Law School Periodical, The Advocate. He also worked as a case assistant for Brobeck, Phlegar and Harrison in Palo Alto and as a law clerk for The Law Offices of Daniel E. Hanley in San Jose and for Devries & Solmonson in San Jose.

Mr. Pupach became a member of the California State Bar in 2001. Prior to forming the Law Offices of Timothy Pupach in 2003, he went back to Devries & Solmonson to practice in the areas of civil litigation, real estate, small business, personal injury, estate planning and probate law. Mr. Pupach has been admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Pupach became a California Real Estate Broker in 2003 and started Pupach Properties where he represents owners, investors, and buyers in commercial and residential sales and leasing. He also offers his expertise in real estate market consulting, contract review and land sale negotiations.

Melanie C. Akers, Esq. / melanie@pupachlaw.com

Born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Sacramento, California, Ms. Akers attended high school at Saint Francis High School in Sacramento. After high school, Ms. Akers attended Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California where she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. While at SCU, Ms. Akers was a member of the Political Science Honors Program and the Political Science Honors Society, Pi Sigma. She was also the recipient of the A & S Schmidt Dean's Academic Scholarship and the Santa Clara University Academic Scholarship.

After her undergraduate education, Ms. Akers attended Santa Clara University, School of Law as a recipient of the Santa Clara University Law Alumni Scholarship. During law school, she was a Comment Editor for the Santa Clara Law Review (Volume 47), Vice President of the International Law Students Association, a competitor in Honors Moot Court, and a member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Honors Society. Ms. Akers also gained legal experience in Tokyo, Japan where she studied international law and interned for the Japanese law firm, Hayabusa Kokusai Law Offices, now Hayabusa Asuka Law Offices.

Ms. Akers was admitted to the California State Bar in 2007. Prior to joining the Law Offices of Timothy A. Pupach in 2009, she was an Assistant District Attorney for the County of Santa Cruz primarily handling misdemeanor criminal cases from arraignment to trial.

Currently, Ms. Akers is focused on Estate Planning, Probate, and Civil Litigation for the firm. Ms. Akers is a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association and the Santa Clara County Trial Lawyers Association.


Angeline R. E. Kan / akan@pupachlaw.com

Born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in Southern California, Ms. Kan attended Troy High School, a magnet school in Fullerton, California. She went on to graduate Cum Laude at the University of California, San Diego, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and a minor in Psychology.

Ms. Kan previously worked as a legal assistant at the Law Offices of Calhoun & Di Ponio, PLC in Bingham Farms, Michigan where she gained experience in the areas of real estate transactions, business litigation, and probate and estate planning. After moving back to California, Ms. Kan worked at the Law Offices of Norman A. Filer in Orange, California before moving to the bay area and joining the Law Offices of Timothy A. Pupach in October of 2009.
